Cisco IOS
Type 7 only — not Type 5/MD5
Cisco IOS uses Type 7 (reversible XOR) and Type 5 (MD5 hash) for passwords. Type 7 is weak and reversible — this tool decrypts it instantly. Type 5 is a one-way hash and cannot be decrypted.
Type 7 strings appear in IOS configs as:
username admin password 7 08075E570E0C1C2013182401382E
Provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. Cisco Type 7 passwords are a reversible XOR cipher, not real encryption — they were never meant to protect anything sensitive. Processing happens entirely in your browser and nothing is transmitted, but treat any config you paste here with the same care as the original device. See the full disclaimer.
