Work out the hops from your current Junos release to a target on an EX switch, MX router, QFX switch or SRX firewall, under Juniper's published upgrade-skip and EEOL rules. Multi-step upgrades are common on Junos, so the planner shows the route, why each hop is needed, and the install option to use on each one. For QFX Virtual Chassis and standalone switches it can also plan a nonstop software upgrade (NSSU) or an in-service upgrade (ISSU), and for SRX chassis clusters a cluster ISSU or in-band cluster upgrade (ICU), where Juniper documents them. SRX paths follow Juniper's own SRX upgrade table. Each plan also lists the rescue-configuration and snapshot steps to take first, and the commands to fall back. Not sure where to land? It can show the release Juniper suggests for your platform.
