Earlier this week I did a post on Juniper NXTWORK and talked about the event. There is a lot going on that week, but one of the best things is the FREE JCNP level certification testing that is available. I wanted to elaborate a bit more on the testing, how to register, and what to expect.
Let us start with the JNCIE lab exams that are available for 50% off. All of the JNCIE labs – ENT JPR-944, -CLOUD JPR-911, -SEC JPR-933, -DC JPR-980, and -SP JPR-960 – are available on the November 9th and 10th. The exam times are from 9 AM to 6 PM both days, except for the new ENT and CLOUD which are 6-hour exams. To register for a JNCIE lab exam, you must have the required JNCIP level certification and e-mail certification@juniper.net with your Full Name, Cert Manager ID (JPRxxxx), Exam Name, and what date you would like to take it. There is limited seating, so they are first come first serve.
Once you are confirmed to be registered you will be provided the testing location. Last year I sat the JCNIE-SEC lab and was able to bring my own keyboard, USB monitor, and pens to use for the test. I would expect the same this year, but you may want to verify with them prior.
Once again Juniper Network Certification Program is offering free testing for all written exams at NXTWORK 2019. This is a HUGE benefit to anyone attending the event as it is a great chance to take any and all the tests you want (provided there is a seat). It is also a good time to renew any expiring certifications that you may have (for me that is IP-DC). I do also plan to take the IP-Cloud exam at the event – that one should be interesting!
Upon NXTWORK event registration, you will be provided with an e-mail that contains a code that can be used to schedule your exams. Testing this year will be on the following dates and time at Ceasars Palace in the Anzio room on the Promenade Level of the conference center.
- Monday, November 11th 8 AM to 6 PM
- Tuesday, November 12th 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Wednesday, November 13th 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM
You can find exam details, including exam number, prerequisite requirements, and recommended study resources by visiting the Certification Tracks section of the JNCP website. To help you prepare, you can also take practice tests on the Junos Genius platform and gauge your readiness for the tests.
